INDIE88 SIGNAL INCREASE APPROVED BY CRTC

Following the CRTC announcement, Megan Bingley, General Manager of Toronto's newest radio station had this to say "This is the best possible news as we can finally deliver our signal to the countless fans of the station from outside our range who've been contacting us. It will take a few weeks to sort out the technicals and we'll let everyone know when we turn it up to 11!"

ACROSS THE GLOBE FANS ARE STREAMING CANADA'S PREMIER JAZZ STATION

Available free of charge from iTunes, the JAZZ.FM91 application has extended the listening audience across the globe; Japan, USA, France & to a host of other countries. On the Toronto radio dial at 91.1FM, and online streaming is available at www.jazz.fm for those without iPhone or iPod Touch. For the early-adopters a versatile new iPad app will launch later this year.

WONDERBRA & BOOM 97.3 IN SUPPORT OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

ASTRAL MIX INITIATIVE: "BRAS FOR THE CAUSE"

WonderBra Canada and Toronto's boom 97.3 invite you to donate your Bras For The Cause. Throughout the month of October, the boom street team will have a bin to collect your gently used bras at on-site boom events. For every bra dropped off, WonderBra Canada will contribute $1 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. There are also 15 participating The Bay locations in the greater Toronto area with collection bins. Tina Yanbestian from WonderBra spoke with Humble & Colleen of the boom breakfast show about their participation in this initiative. A new RADIO format on 97.3FM in Toronto; the station formerly known as 97.3 EZ Rock (CJEZ-FM) is now branded boom 97.3 Toronto's Greatest Hits (CHBM-FM). Designed with the EZ Rock listener base in mind, the playlist is built on the amazing music history that is part of life in Toronto. A revised personality line-up will include the addition of the ever-popular Maie Pauts midday weekdays, following The boom Breakfast Show with Humble & Colleen, and Donny Osmond weeknights at 10pm. A multi-media campaign is set to build brand awareness and attract new listeners to the station that  'plays the songs that make you feel good.'

POWERED UP WITH 100% GREEN ENERGY

ASTRAL MEDIA RADIO AND OUTDOOR IN TORONTO NOW BULLFROGGED

ASTRAL MEDIA RADIO has announced it has officially moved to green electricity for its three Toronto radio stations and their respective websites: Virgin Radio 999, 97.3 EZ Rock and Newstalk 1010 CFRB.  Tom Heintzman, President, Bullfrog Power was interviewed by each of the stations to promote the announcement and increase awareness of the benefits & ease of switching to Bullfrog Power.
