ASTRAL MEDIA NATIONAL DAY OF CARING FOR KIDS RADIOTHON APRIL 30TH

15 HOSPITALS - 28 CITIES - 50 RADIO STATIONS

Tune in and Give!
Astral Media will be hosting a one-day RADIOTHON for children’s health in 28 cities and on 50 radio stations across Canada, in support of 15 children's hospitals and health care facilities. On Thursday, April 30, 2009, please tune in to your favorite radio station and give!

A one-month multi-media promotional campaign began April 1st to raise awareness for the day including a microsite that has been launched to communicate details of the RADIOTHON event, offering a point of access to the children’s hospitals and radio stations where people can give. See & hear the promotional campaign here:  http://www.radiothon.astral.com/campaign-en.html

The 50 radio stations involved in the RADIOTHON across Canada have been working with their partner hospitals or health care facility for months to coordinate and organize the logistics for the day. A pre-fundraising initiative called change bandits; change crusaders or banditos will raise awareness for the RADIOTHON and begin the process of raising money. In many markets, the radio stations work with Children’s Miracle Network, an international non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals and health foundations.  See the Press Release.
